Pureair Filter Company, trading as Fibatron, was founded in 1983 by Peter Mann in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.
What began as a specialist supplier of HVAC filters and filtration components has grown into one of South Africa’s trusted manufacturers of air filtration products.
Over four decades we’ve expanded into custom filtration systems, laminar flow equipment, pharmaceutical and healthcare solutions, while remaining committed to quality manufacturing and exceptional customer service.

Four decades of growth
1983
Fibatron founded
Peter Mann founded Fibatron in Paarden Eiland.
The company supplied filters and filtration components
for HVAC environments.
1988–1990
Expansion
The company expanded into laminar flow equipment,
particle counting and filtration systems at the
V&A Waterfront pump stations.
1995
Montague Gardens
The company relocated to its own premises in
Montague Gardens and expanded from selling filters
into manufacturing its own filters.
1998
Pureaire Technology
The company registered as Pureaire Technology CC,
trading as Fibatron Cape.
2020
Pureair Filter Company
Since 2020 the company has been run by Janet Hunter
under the new registered name Pureair Filter Company,
trading as Fibatron.
